What is Diverse Divas?

Diverse Divas is a community group that organizes fun and engaging Friday night events for women of all abilities in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Our mission is to connect, belong, and explore together.

Who can join Diverse Divas events?

Our events are open to women of all abilities. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

How do I sign up for an event?

You can sign up for our events by visiting Eventbrite and registering for the event you're interested in. Spaces are limited, so we recommend signing up early.

 Why is there a charge for events?

We charge $30 per person per event to cover the cost of support and coordination provided by our dedicated staff. This ensures that we can offer a high-quality experience and maintain the necessary resources to organize these events. Additional costs for activities, meals, and other expenses are the responsibility of the participants.

What payment methods do you accept?

Aside Eventbrite, we also accept e-transfers. Please send payments to diversedivaskw@gmail.com. Receipts will be provided for all payments and are admissible for Passport funding.

Are the events accessible?

Yes, we strive to ensure our events are accessible. We carefully select venues and activities that accommodate various needs, including wheelchair accessibility and sensory considerations. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

How do I join?

To join Girls' Night Out, simply click on the "Join Us" button and follow the Eventbrite link to sign up. We can't wait to have you join our community!

What if I need support during the events?

We provide support during all our events to ensure everyone can participate fully and safely. If you have specific support needs, please describe them when you register so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Can I bring a friend or family member?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a friend or family member to our events. Please make sure they also register and pay the event fee.

What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a refund or the option to transfer your registration to another event.

How can I donate to the grad dress collection?

We are collecting beautiful, high-quality grad dresses throughout the year for our give-back event in May. You can donate by dropping off dresses at our designated locations, mailing them to our address, or contacting us to arrange a pick-up. Reach out to us via email to discuss this.

Do you support individuals with behavioural issues?

We currently do not have the capacity to support individuals with behavioural issues. Our focus is on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. If you have specific concerns or questions, please contact us directly.
